Tara Cole-McCaffrey is the one woman show behind Patron of Dreams! Mom to two teen sons and a golden Husky-cross, and Wife to Writer/Illustrator/Artist Gregory (GMB Chomichuk), they live in a Victorian era character home, filled with antiques, heirlooms, art and oddities in Winnipeg. You could say that it’s been a natural and organic evolution for Tara to become a Vintage Shop owner, Wardrobe Stylist, and Editorial Blogger.
From playing childhood dress-up in her Grandma’s vintage-filled wardrobe, to teenage thrifting adventures in the 90’s; she learned to sew and up-cycle vintage clothes, style costumes for dance performances, theatre productions and film, eventually becoming a model, blogger and fashion stylist for sustainable brands, movies, music videos and promotional photography. Throw in a life-long passion for nature and a decade-long career in Environmental Science, and it was only natural for her to eventually open her own vintage shop in late 2018, selling eco-minded fashion.
Patron of Dreams Vintage is a sustainable, one-woman-run Canadian business, devoted to hand picking and curating bold, eclectic vintage and antiques from the 1890’s to 1990’s, as well as hand made up-cycled, one-of-a-kind fashions. With the use of story-telling, photography, videography and blogging, Patron of Dreams is ripe with themes of rewilding, empowerment, creativity and honouring nature, complemented by rebellious nudges for you to break free from fast fashion trends and create unique personal style instead. Patron of Dreams aspires to help you rekindle your connection with nature, while embracing your creative individuality.
