Jonathan welcomes in University of Winnipeg Writer-in-Residence Erín Moure to speak with his class and answer questions about her career as an acclaimed writer and poet.

Poet in English and English/Galician, translator of poetry—especially the syntactically strange or “difficult”— from Galician, French, Spanish, Portuñol, and Portuguese to English; from Galician and English to French; plus (with Roman Ivashkiv) from Ukrainian to English. Has published 50 books—written, co-written, translated, co-translated—of poetry and non-fiction.

Lives in Montreal, works everywhere. Allergic person, friend, auntie and granty, lesboqueer, cyclist commuter, small footprint on earth, cook.

The latest: a translation from the Galician of Chus Pato, The Face of the Quartzes (Veliz Books, 2021) and a chapbook, Retooling for a Figurative Life (Vallum, 2021). More at erinmoure.mystrikingly.com.
